The One That Gives You The Energy Equivalent of Earthquakes in Kg of Tnt and Bombs

Mappa Terremoti Italia is an application that allows real -time monitoring of Italian seismic events.

The peculiarities of this app compared to the competition are:

- display of the details of the earthquake with equivalent energy (in terms of kg of equivalent explosive or equivalent atomic bombs)

- You can filter the SISMI by region, intensity and much more. In order to view only the SISMI you are interested in.

The application is not affiliated the INGV. It only provides the data of the last earthquakes recorded by the National Institute of Geophysics and Italian volcanology.

Once the list of earthquakes is loaded, just click on an item on the list to move to the map where all seismic events are traced.

Each event is defined by a color that identifies the intensity of the event. The clearest indicates a lesser intensity earthquake of the 3rd degree and the bandina is shrugging as the earthquake exceeds the 4th, 5th or 6th degree.

The following information is available for each earthquake

- Province and municipality in which the earthquake occurred

- date and time when the earthquake took place

- magnitude

- depth in km of the epicenter

- precise location on the map

- Equivalent energy in TNT kg (with longclick on the chosen item)

From the preferences you can choose earthquakes to be viewed (greater than a certain degree of the Richter scale scale), the number of events that want to view and filter events by region.
