METEOGLASS - Weather Information on Your Glass Window and Screen of Your Smartphone.
METEOGLASS weather indicator is a device installed in the window and designed to display on the glass level of air temperature, as well as a forecast of possible precipitation obtained on the basis of data on atmospheric pressure.
The display of the level of temperature and the state of atmospheric pressure on the glass is achieved using a double -glazed window, on the average glass of which is applied an image and electronic board with LEDs inside the window.
The device consists of:
- electronic board with LEDs to display information about the current temperature and the state of atmospheric pressure
- temperature measurement sensor
- atmospheric pressure measurement sensor
- the light sensor that serves to change the glow level depending on the level of external light
- buttons "Turning on", to turn on and off the device, as well as selecting the operating mode.
- Bluetooth module to control the device with a smartphone
- power adapter to connect the device
A demonstration of the temperature level of street air on the window is made by analogy with the usual alcohol thermometer.
The temperature indication range is selected with a step of 5 degrees Celsius and is included in the range from -30 to “+30” Celsius degrees.
For clarity, colored LEDs are used:
From “-30” to “-5” blue,
"0" - white,
"+5" - "+20" - green,
"+25" - "+30" red color;
To display the state of atmospheric pressure on the window, a separate blue LED is used, located in the upper part of the weather indicator scale and corresponding to the image on the glass in the form of a “cloud” icon used to prevent the client about possible precipitation.
The blinking blue LED means “a big probability of precipitation”.
A burning blue LED means "precipitation is likely."
If the blue LED does not burn, then "precipitation is unlikely."
The light sensor, just like a temperature sensor, are located outside the room, i.e. on the street. The light sensor serves to determine and subsequent changes in the level (brightness) of the glow of the LEDs, depending on the level of external illumination. Those. Depending on the illumination on the street, the brightness of the LEDs changes. Thus, at night the LEDs burn more dimly, and during the day more brightly.
The atmospheric pressure sensor is located directly on the electronic board.
Using the METEOGLASS application, the user gets the ability to display accurate data on the smartphone screen about the air temperature and the value of atmospheric pressure, as well as the ability to control the device consisting in sending the commands to turn on/off the device and change the operating mode.
